Sofas and Lounge Seating made to order in a Bali workshop

A good sofa is mostly hidden craftsmanship: a hardwood frame that will not rack, webbing or slats that keep their shape, and cushions with the right foam so the seat still feels right in five years. We build lounge seating to order on solid teak or mahogany frames, then upholster to your fabric and feel — firmer for hospitality, softer for a family living room. Because it is made to measure, an L-shape lands exactly along your wall and a daybed fits the terrace nook it was drawn for.

What's Included

Hardwood Frames

Mortise-and-tenon teak or mahogany frames that stay square under daily use — the structural difference between a sofa that lasts and one that sags in a year.

Your Fabric & Feel

Choose firmness, seat depth, back height and fabric. We can source performance and outdoor fabrics for villas and contract use, or upholster in material you supply.

Daybeds & Sectionals

Modular sectionals, corner units, daybeds and bench seating sized to the room, with optional storage under the seat for cushions and throws.

Refresh-Friendly

Cushions and covers built so they can be re-stuffed or re-covered later — you keep the frame and refresh the soft parts when fabric tires.

Lounge Seating Built for the Bali Climate

Open-plan Bali villas blur the line between inside and out, which is hard on upholstery. We use treated hardwood frames and, where seating sits in a covered but humid space, quick-drying foam and breathable or outdoor-rated fabric so cushions do not stay damp. For fully exposed terraces we steer you toward our outdoor teak range instead, which is engineered for sun and rain.

Custom framing also means the seating suits how the space is actually used: deep loungers for a pool pavilion, firmer upright sofas for a restaurant or co-working lounge, low daybeds for a meditation sala. Pair with a custom coffee or side table for a coordinated room. For larger projects, see how we approach a whole-property look in the villa & hotel furnishing guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you supply the fabric or do I provide it?
Either way. We can source upholstery, performance and outdoor fabrics, or upholster in material you supply — useful if you are matching an interior scheme.
Will the cushions cope with Bali humidity?
For covered spaces we use quick-drying foam and breathable covers so cushions do not stay damp. For fully exposed areas we recommend outdoor-rated foam or our outdoor teak seating instead.
Can you build an L-shaped or modular sofa?
Yes — sectionals, corner units and modular pieces are built to your exact wall lengths so they fit precisely, with the chaise on whichever side you need.
Can old cushions be re-covered later?
Yes. We build covers and cushions to be re-stuffed and re-covered, so you keep the hardwood frame and just refresh the soft parts down the line.
