Outdoor and Teak Garden Furniture made to order in a Bali workshop

Outdoor furniture in Bali has to survive a punishing combination of equatorial sun, daily wet-season rain and, near the coast, salt-laden air. Grade-A teak is the material that does it: naturally oily, dense and rot-resistant, it weathers to a silver-grey patina or holds a golden tone with the right oil. We build outdoor loungers, dining sets, benches and pool furniture to order in properly seasoned teak, with stainless fixings and outdoor-rated cushions, sized to fit your deck, terrace or garden exactly.

Materials for a Bali Climate: Teak, Synthetic Rattan & Aluminium

Regular indoor furniture fails outdoors here fast: MDF and particleboard swell and delaminate once humidity sits above 80% for months on end, mild-steel screws rust and bleed orange stains within one wet season, foam cushions and untreated fabric hold moisture and grow mould overnight, and natural rattan or wicker left uncovered simply rots. None of that is a design flaw — it is the wrong material for a tropical monsoon climate, which is why "outdoor" ranges built for a European summer rarely survive a full Bali wet season.

We build to three materials that actually hold up. Grade-A teak is the default for anything left fully exposed to sun and rain — dining sets, loungers, daybeds — its natural oils and dense grain do the weatherproofing on their own. Synthetic rattan, a woven HDPE skin over a powder-coated aluminium frame, suits cushioned lounge or dining pieces kept under a roof or covered terrace: it never rots, wipes clean after rain and weighs a fraction of solid timber. Powder-coated aluminium frames go into lightweight pool furniture and bar sets — rust-proof even a metre from the waterline, and easy to move around a deck. Fixings throughout are stainless steel, never mild steel.

What's Included

Grade-A Teak

Dense, naturally weather-resistant teak with stainless-steel fixings throughout — no mild-steel screws to bleed rust stains across the timber within a season.

Loungers & Pool Furniture

Sun loungers, daybeds, pool chairs and side tables built for constant outdoor use, with optional wheels and adjustable backs.

Outdoor Dining Sets

Teak outdoor dining tables, benches and chairs sized to your terrace, with finishes that shrug off rain rings and sun bleaching.

Weatherproof Cushions

Optional outdoor-rated, quick-drying cushions in marine fabric — they shed water and dry fast after a tropical downpour.

Daybeds & Poolside Beds

Canopy daybeds and poolside sun beds in teak or alu-frame synthetic rattan, built to fit a specific pool deck or gazebo.

Pergola & Garden Benches

Built-in and freestanding benches sized to a pergola, garden wall or planter edge, in teak or reclaimed hardwood.

Built for Bali's Outdoor Conditions

The reason cheap outdoor furniture fails here is rarely the wood alone — it is the details: mild-steel screws that rust and stain, unseasoned timber that splits in the sun, and joinery that opens up as the wood moves. We use seasoned Grade-A teak, stainless fixings and joinery designed to flex with humidity, so a piece still looks good after years on an exposed deck. You can let it silver naturally or keep it golden with a periodic teak oil; both are easy to maintain.

For beachfront and cliff-top properties in Uluwatu and Canggu, salt accelerates wear on anything that is not built for it — teak handles it where most materials do not. For covered terraces that stay drier, our lounge seating and rattan range give a softer indoor-outdoor feel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does teak really survive Bali's weather?
Yes — Grade-A teak is naturally oily and rot-resistant and is the standard for outdoor furniture in tropical and coastal climates. With stainless fixings and seasoned timber it lasts many years outdoors.
Will the furniture turn grey?
Only if you let it. Untreated teak weathers to an attractive silver-grey patina; a periodic coat of teak oil keeps it golden. Both are purely cosmetic — the wood is fine either way.
Do you make cushions for outdoor pieces?
Yes — optional outdoor-rated, quick-drying cushions in marine fabric that shed water and dry fast after rain. We can also work with cushions you supply.
Is it suitable for beachfront properties?
Yes. Teak with stainless fixings is one of the few materials that holds up to constant salt air, which is why it is our standard recommendation for coastal villas.
Teak or synthetic rattan for outdoor furniture in Bali?
Teak is the safer default for anything left fully exposed to sun and rain. Synthetic rattan — a woven HDPE skin over a powder-coated aluminium frame — suits cushioned lounge or dining pieces kept under a roof or covered terrace: it never rots and wipes clean after rain. Many gardens end up with both.
How long does a custom outdoor order take?
Most outdoor pieces run 4–8 weeks from an approved drawing to delivery, depending on the piece, material and finish. We confirm a firm date once the design and material are locked in.
What does outdoor furniture cost in Bali?

Do you deliver and install outdoor furniture across Bali?
Yes — we deliver and place finished pieces across South Bali, including Canggu, Uluwatu, Seminyak and Sanur, and crate larger orders for export where needed.
